I know everybody out here has met someone that we would classify as 'tone deaf' but I want to tell a little story about a particular saxophone player I know that redefines the meaning of it.
This poor girl, let's call her Pam, could not tell the difference in any pitch. That sums it up...but to clarify she could not tell a difference in pitch between me singing notes an octave apart (and i really believe it). But God did she love playing that thing, every day, incessantly, to the chagrin of everyone.
Have any of you heard of ANYTHING like this? Just an absolute non-understanding of pitch? And what do you do with them??? Smile and Nod?
