Am I preaching laziness or complacency? No, I am just saying that we need to learn a lesson from fallen soldiers. Learn from the past or be destined to repeat it. I don't practice more than one hour in a sitting, then I take an hour off, before I hit the horn again. Does this make me lazy because I don't practice 4 or 5 hours at a time? Or because I don't play one note as loud as I can over and over to increase my dynamic range? I make the best effort to make every second of my practice time count. I practice with much more effieciency these days. My face feels better because of it and my brain doesn't get fried. I will be happy to continue this debate.
