I'm working on friend's Miraphone 184 BBb and it initially struck me as being a nice little horn. But after awhile, I began to get annoyed with the way the horn "rings" after a note is played. I suspect that this is mainly due to Miraphone using a heavy gague bell instead of the usual thin bell-with-garland. If you knock the side of the horn with your knuckles, you can indeed hear a long ring.
Does anyone know if the new 184s use the same of construction?
