Let me clarify the original intent of my posting. I just wanted to show that even though texas all-state is a great honor, it doesn't mean that some of the people that make it are actually good musicians. In fact considering the reputation of the honor it can be shocking at the level of some of the students that do make it. Yes they can play the etudes but in some cases they really can't play music.
