So, I work a quarter mile from the UMI plant here in Eastlake, Ohio. The Local UAW union has been picketing for over two weeks now. I stopped and chatted up a few strikers and they say tell your musician friends "Conn, etc. made by UMI will be harder to find than hen's teeth. We're six months behind before the strike and now things will really get ugly." The union says they're striking across the board and all UMI productivity will grind to a halt. You Conn-ers...hold onto those horns! They may be collectors' pieces before long...
