baritone playing jobs in the military

Each of the "big" Atlantic Seaboard bands are going to keep a couple of baritone players on staff (I guess this totals a fourteen or so [??], if you include the Coast Guard, Field Band, and Norfolk band in with the the D.C. bands), but I wonder how many "post" bands (sorry, I don't know the proper lingo) are looking for folks who are "strictly" baritone players.

I think the Navy Band here in my town (large base north of the city) emphasizes a lot of doubling - tuba/bass, baritone/trombone, sax/flute/clarinet, keyboard/singer/whatever - so they can do ceremonies, band concerts, jazz band concerts (seemingly this particular band's "forte"), and rock/top-40 combo stuff.

I often see the statement on tubenet, "Euphonium players can always find jobs in military bands", but I wonder how true this really is - unless they also play jazz trombone quite well...or happen to be an attractive young lady who is also a good pop singer, etc.?
