For the past ten years or so, I've been switching back and forth between a Bach 7 and a Marsinciewicz (sp) H3 (an old one, from before the factory move and the new model numbers). I love the sound I get on the Bach, and the response and clarity of the other one (I'm not going to attempt his name twice). Does anyone want to suggest the perfect mouth piece for me? Anyone tried the Bach Mega Tone series (I understand the throat is widened from the standard models)?
Caveats: I play a Rudi Meinl 3/4 CC, and I am quite comfortable with great big mouthpieces. Having gotten used to the larger rims for CC playing, I'm not terribly interested in adjusting to a smaller rim. FWIW, I play jazz -- mostly avant garde stuff -- almost excl;usively, and am going for more Dexter and Miles than Coltrane and Maynard.
