I never said he was a bad teacher and didn't care about his students, I just said that I think his tonguing system is crap. Yeah, I said I don't agree with it? So what? I prefer the more convential ta-ka-tu-ka-la-la-da-da system for my TROMBONE PLAYING. It's different when you don't have valves ya know. As far as being a great person, I'm sure he's wonderful but I didn't have a very good experience from the 45 minute clinic he gave me.
If you'd like to discuss further, please feel free to do so. I'd love to hear everyone's DIFFERENT OPINIONS on tonguing and phrasing...but, as MY great teacher says, "don't go about it like a hog in manure."
