The many generous responses to my original query have raised additional questions:
* Can you recommend Dixieland bands that make good use of the tuba - for listening and playing along with? Also - bands without tubas, but that epotiomze great bass playing?
* What kind of tuba works best for Dixie? BBb vs. CC? - are some brands/models better than others? - do you need/use a 5th valve? - does size matter?! What type of mouthpiece do you like to use? Other suggestions?
