Has anyone played with the Dennis Wick 3XL mouthpiece? It has more mass than the size 3 and
the rim is somewhat more rounded and the throat is slightly bigger. I am considering getting one because the DW 3 has a great sound on my Imperial but I prefer the greater projection on the DW 2. So, if the DW3XL has the same sound with projection like the DW2, then it would be ideal for me. Alternatively, I might take either my DW3 or DW2 to a mouthpiece specialist and have the cup changed somewhat. Thanks for any comments. Bill. By the way, the PT-70 might be similar in sound, though the inner diameter is definitely bigger..
