What ever happened to the Weight Lifter? I fortunately got 2 of them, and with a little modification they're great (take the pin out of the top so it can rotate, and put some coil springs in the tube so the height can be adjusted with the tuba on it). I also got one called a Johnson stand, similar, but the bottom legs eventually collapsed from the weight. I find the PVC DEG stand too slow and difficult to adjust, and the friction set screw on the bottom stopped holding - I had to drill it out so the screw'll go into the upright. That hole is starting to enlarge, so if I want to keep using it I'll soon have to take it apart again and turn the upright 90 degrees and drill another hole in it.
