The 32E might be a good place to start, but it will never give you a good characteristic tuba sound. While it's good as a starter mouthpiece for children (smaller faces), it's basically just a contrabass trombone mouthpiece made on a tuba blank. I'd suggest getting a Conn Helleberg 7B (the smaller of the Hellebergs)and just suck it up during what should be a fairly brief acclimatazation. The 7B is relatively cheap, easy to find, and might just serve you well for years...until the mouthipece bug bites you on tuba, as I'm sure it has at some point on bass trombone.
