Well, in an age when they're putting internet terminals into portable public lavatories in England, maybe the idea of the customers voting for what they want to hear isn't as far fetched as all that.

I wouldn't go so far as to generate the programs from the website, but the idea of providing feedback (feed ahead?) about what people like and don't like seems like a valid input to the programming process.

I think the real premise in my long diatribe wasn't that MTT plays too much modern music as much as that I think in today's world the orchestras and the musicians have to be more active in developing relationships with the paying customers and personalizing the symphonic experience. Even the Catholic Church eventually made the priest turn around and talk to the people in a language that they understood.
