Nope, I don't know anybody, but if it were mine the decision to modify it woudl be based on whether the valve slide lengths could be adjusted to one pitch or the other more easily. I just bought an Eb alto from Lew that was pretty high pitch...but with the tuning slide all the way out (almost dropping on the floor) I can play it on pitch. The included extenders lower the pitch too much for me. Maybe a pincher could play it.
