I know you didn't explicitly ask for advice, but I recommend you go and see an osteopathist. Osteopathists specialize in making sure all your bones, muscles, tendons, ligaments etc. are properly aligned and functioning the way they are supposed to. They are also generally well trained in physiotherapy. It's not cheap, easily $50 per session, but it's miraculous in my opinion.
They can probably fix something like this without resorting to surgery.
