Dear Not Enough,

My hat is off to those organizations that can change rapidly and
still have continuity and function. 99% of all I have ever dealt with
or been a part of in my working and playing career change painfully
slowly. Be that as it may.

To your latest point about level of playing ability; ther are marginal players in most every section of a community band or orchestra; that is what seperates us from the
professional bands and orchestras. Instrumentalists do not try to screw up on purpose.
Many have not had the level of training some of us have had. As far as tuba players
go, we gat a bad rap because 95% of the beginner/intermediate literature
is Oom-Pah stuff. If that is most all you evr see, I suspect that that player might have a little difficulty playing Bombasto, Universal Judgement or Fingals Cave.

Best regards,

Bart the amateur tuba player
