I have posted often that I believe that, as far as "Helleburgs" go, the Marcinkiewicz H1 is the smoothest-sounding, with virtually no "throat noise" (like I particularly associate with the "Bach"-style mouthpieces. I really think that, whether he set out to or not, Joe M. stumbled across the perfect cup-into-throat contour for a Helleburg-style mouthpiece. His pricing is rather modest - in the Bach/Schilke price range.
