What do I think of Rudy Meinl tubas? I love 'em! Really, I think they are the finest all around tubas available. The sound is to die for, the quality of their construction is first rate (my RM-10 is circa 1968 and has all the original parts), and they are not overpriced. What I mean by that last part is that Rudy's are worth what you pay for them and they last. I've seen other tubas that were touted as being of superior construction, etc., and they never seem to outperform my Rudy.
If you haven't tried these tubas yet, you should. If they fit your playing style then you probably can't go wrong picking one up. Happy hunting!
