Well, the original has some dings and is badly tarnished and mildly pitted. IF it is possible, I'd rather have a reproduction made of this one instead of contribute to the wear on the mp in question.
As far as not knowing the make or model... I played it and it has some good uses and will do well with my f-tuba in quintet. Besides, I've never heard of a mouthpiece getting better right after they stamp "Shilke", "Perantucci", or anything else on it. I'm interested in how it works with me, not the name.
