My name is Gray Bach, and I go to Tennessee Tech University. We have a student with a Mirafone 188 (5U) that has a problem with the horn blowing stuffy, especially in the upper register. It has a terrible sound and if you compare it to any other 188's we have in the studio, (We have 7 or 8, including mine), they all blow so much better. Here's my question: Since all the others blow better, and this one has stuffiness, could it be a problem with something in the horn, or is it maybe just a "lemon" horn? Professor R. Winston Morris is our teacher, but even though he used to be a Mirafone rep, he says that he's never seen a problem like that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
