I've never played or seen a score or parts to Berlioz Te Deum, but I did have occasion to play the stage band for Gounod's Faust, which was also scored for four Sax Horns. Two of us played Fs, and the other two CCs. It was a while back, and I seem to recall rewriting my part in concert pitch, I was playing the lead high part. On another occasion, I played Saint-Saens 2nd Symphony, scored for two Sax Horns. Also rewrote my part to concert pitch.

Yet another, amazingly recent work, Messiaen's Et Expecto for a large ensemble of brass, woodwinds, and percussion, two Sax Horns.

So Sax Horn parts are playable on tuba, but you need your part(s) in as much advance as possible for whatever homework they may require.
