I don't know about the Cerveny, but my Alex F seems to play much better with a thin adapter I made for standard-shank mouthpieces (about .010-.015" thick). The sound seems to be much warmer and the intonation seems better with a larger shank.
A cheap experiment to try is to wrap one or more layers of clear packing tape around the shank, then trim the end flush with a razor blade.
