I am thinking very seriously of taking next year off uni/work and studying Instrument repair. As far as i am aware their is no such course offered in Australia. I am guessing that my best option is to travel to the U.S or Canada and study at one of the 5 NAPBIRT accredited schools? Anyone have any recommendations for specific schools or even schools somewhere else in the world? - Germany or some other European country?
Lastly I was wondering what Instrument repair is like as a career, how hard is it to get by and can u do it as a 1st or only as a 2nd job?
By the way i am very keen to do this, even if it is just as a hobby, currently studying Mechanical Engineering and really need a break from uni and current employment.
