As far as instrument repair goes in the U.S., the top school I've heard of is Red Wing which is located in Iowa. There is another school usually mentioned in the same breath, but I can't quite recall it at the moment. I am unsure of how these schools rank compared to the rest of the world. But, if you're dying to get to the states, Red Wing is supposedly the best. Hope this helps!
