Ihave toagree with everything said below.

But if ONE thing ever made tuba playing worthwhile, it'd have to be the time two years ago when we performed at an elementary school. Having just returned from New York, we (the symphonic band) donned marching uniforms and went to flowery branch elementary school and performed our now internationally famous (long story) patriotic repertoire. The kicker came when we were marching in and our sousaphones had to dip to get in the door and then we snapped them up to full height and suddenly every kid int he school at once went "WHOOAA!" In two seconds flat two tuba players had captured the attention of 800 kids that no one else had been able to get that day. Ah, such a feeling of power!

And of course, who else can say "I play the same instrument as (INSERT: Arnold Jacobs, Pat Sheridan, Chuck Daellenbach, etc)!"

And how else could a band or brass quintet play "Canon in D" unless there's a tuba player on hand?

The world must admit it: WE ARE THE MOST POWERFUL MINORITY ON EARTH.

Ok im done pontificating,

have fun on thanksgiving
