Drill with the next smaller size drill bit first then finish with the desired size. Use a rubber griper that is used to remove gar lids. lay the rubber sheet on the drill press table set the mouth piece rim down. Make sure the table on the drill press is a true 90 degrees to the bit. Would be great to have the proper tapered drill bits but I have used a regular drill bit on my tuba mouth peice and was fine. Good luck and hang on to it don't get hurt. Start out with a smaller bit then incress size/
