checking for broken solder joints

I recently bought a MW45SLP and I've noticed a couple of weak solder joints, one of them in the main tuning slide. That makes me wonder how many other weak solder joints there are in the horn, however I'm not sure how to go about checking. While I was at Red Wing we had a large (100+ gallon) tank of detergent water that I would dip tubas in and watch for the air bubbles, however I don't have access to a similar tank where I work now. What do you repair guys do to check for weak and potentially leaky solder joints? If I stuck a hose in the leadpipe and watched for water squirting out would I see everything?

Also, is there a repair BBS out there? Does NAPBIRT have an online forum? (No, I'm not a member yet, but that's only because I haven't gotten around to sending in the application form.)

Thanks,
Scott
