The horn I am talking about right above your post is not like a 621. The production line 621s were pretty different.

I've seen the 'famous' gold plated Schilke-Yamaha. It does exist and when I saw it, Daellenbach was showing off the porcelin valves...seriously...I saw them. He joked (???) that he had the valve set on that instrument covered by insurance to the tune of $10,000. Rumor has it that he still owns this horn along with most of his Canadian Brass Getzen CB-50s - both with and without carbon fiber bells.

As for the F being developed before the CC, unless the F was done in the 70s or earlier, I think the CC was first based on the Schilke CC I've spent time with.
