Henry, Like you I play with a multitude of musical toys. I play once a year with the Tubachristmas, in my elf charactor (I am a clown), and with my Cello teacher's yearly cello get together for her adult students. Like you, I play for myself.
My teacher has just retired from the Oregon Synphony. Now after a year of just teaching and playing with her trio the odd gigs, She has rediscovered the joy in just playing to play.
As to going to musical events, no time and no money. But I would like to. Maybe when the last kid is out of school. Joe S. No. 2
