Hi,
I'm new to this board, and also fairly new to the tuba. I'm in high school and used to play the clarinet, until I tried the tuba one day. I loved it so I started to pick it up. I've been playing for sometime, yet sometimes I'll forget about it for a while. Well, my main question is this. When I've always played tuba it's always been with a very loose embouchure. Almost as loose as I can get. Yet I was looking in one of my books today, and it says to form a slightly puckered smile for your embouchure. I would be very glad if maybe somebody could help me on this topic.
