You'll have to buff that mouthpiece with a jeweler's cloth or a low-abrasive silver polish to bring it up to a shine. I believe that the Tarnex directions mention that buffing may be necessary.

But please don't use Tarnex on your horn. It's an acid and works by chemical action and if it works it way into a crack or crevice where it can't be washed off, it could result in damage to your instrument. Better to use a polish like Hagerty's (works with a mechanical action) that won't corrode brass. A bonus is that many silver polishes leave a protective coat that will delay subsequent tarnishing.
