I don't know what you've tried so far, but I've had good experiences with Rotosound "Swing Bass" strings. Martin might have some decent strings, since they make the "El Capitan" model acoustic/electric. I've recently heard that Thomastik is making an excellent flatwound that costs twice as much as most strings but lasts almost forever. Hope you find what you're looking for!
