I have a really nice acoustic electric bass guitar. I have put some "old fashioned" flat-wound strings on it and have it sounding a lot more like an upright bass. What I am looking for are some even thinner gauge and even more flexible flat wounds to try for an even funkier and closer-to-upright sound. ' any experts who know either mainstay or obscure electric bass string manufacturers with a product like this?
