It could simply be a rough note on the horn. On my '69 Meinl-Weston CC, Ab bottom of staff is rough to lock onto. Every other Ab is fine, just that one is funky. All I can advise is playing the note as much as you can (in scales, arpeggios, etc..) and make sure you have the note in your ear before you play it. Hear it in your head and put the wind to it, and good luck!!
