As someone who grew up so lefthanded that my right hand was barely coordinated enough to wave hi I felt that I must weigh in on this. I had an awful time learning how to play righthanded. I started on a Yamaha 321 and it was awful. I eventually adapted and now I could not even begin to play left handed. There are rumors of left handed tubas being made. Jim Self recently posted here looking for a lefthanded Miraphone 186 that was made in the in 60's. Schilke was noted as making a left handed tuba for someone. Also there was a report that a left handed horn of unknown type being made for a one armed tuba player in Australia. I hope this helps.
