The whole idea behind the Thayer valve is to avoid the 90 degree bend that one gets from a rotary valve. Since euphoniums use pistons and not rotaries, there's no 90 degree bend to compensate for. You'd be putting a really expensive and sensitive mechanism that sucks to repair on an instrument that would have no benefit from one. But hey, has anybody tried putting fuel injectors on their bicycle?
