After seeing the Cerveny 4-valve bariton currently up for auction, the unusual Cerveny valve arrangement got me to thinking, why not a thayer-valve euphonium? Not exactly a
new idea I'm sure, but has one ever been built? Is there some reason why a thayer valve
is well-suited to a bass trombone but might not be the right solution for a euphonium?
