No.
However, it is beneficial to learn baritone, because
a)you can show off if no one around you doubles
b)you can play some cool solos on the instrument for which they're written
c)you can play in both bands
On the other hand, after I've played euph or trombone for a while, my tuba playing sucks. If you can adapt to using to different air columns, two different embochures, and two different concepts of sound, go for it.
