Sure, pick up baritone. It will certainly have some juicy parts written for it. It's darn fun to play too.
Some advice - be careful of performing in both ensembles back to back the same event. I did this years ago in high school, playing tuba in the lower band and euphonium (my best instrument) in the upper band. We happened to play "When Jesus Wept" that night, of which the whole thing is pretty much a euph/trumpet duet (guess who got to play the euph solo part...). I totally tanked most of it because my chops were floppy from playing tuba for 3 pieces. I have an incriminating recording to back this up.
My tuba playing was first rate that night though. Heh heh.
