The funny thing is, John is taking a stance somewhat OPPOSITE that of the person he plagiarized (yes, John, after about the 8th grade it is expected that you credit your sources, ESPECIALLY direct quotes) his techno-jargon from: Dr. Dan Levitin at Stanford (see first paragraph at the link below). Dr. Levitin eschews the term "Perfect Pitch" in favor of "Absolute Pitch", precisely because it is NOT all that perfect. It is his assertion that absolute pitch is, basically, the ability to tell (more or less) what pitch is being played, but not necessarily whether it is in tune or not -- certainly compared to any particular temperament. The notion is really kind of funny with any temperament but equal; you would not only have to know the temperament, but also the key context. In other words, a C that is perfectly tune in a C scale would be out of tune in an Ab scale.
