5 cents of what? Equal temperament? Werckmeister meantone? If you hear an isolated note can you say, "Ah, that's a C# from an instrument tuned in Valotti/Yong meantone"?

When you listen to an ensemble play in just intonation, do the notes sound wrong to you?

I'm just not understanding the claims of "absolute accuracy within 5 cents" of the perfect pitch folks. My understanding is that tuning and intonation involve a lot more than recognizing piano pitches.

I've known people who can look at a warehouse full of boxes and estimate pretty accurately the number of items in the warehouse. The skill was gained through years of experience learning what 35,000 boxes of, say, mason jars looks like. It seems to me that "perfect pitch" must be pretty much the same thing.
