It was pointed out to me that the currently available PT-4 is different from the one I played years ago. Currently, the PT-4 is a compact style CC, visually similar to a Cervany Piggy type wrap. The PT-4 I fell in love with had a very tall bell and was in no way compact. I could be mistaken, mostly because it was a while ago and it is so hard for me to keep their numbers straight, but I think Custom was referring to the PT-4 as a York model. That was what I found so ironic about the tuba was that it didn't play or sound like a York at all. It had a decidedly Alexander type sound which is very similar to my current Rudy CC. Anyhow, I'll have to check and see if they're making the older type PT-4 anymore. That was the horn I would consider purchasing even to this day.
