Tim is largely correct. Cutting a horn 22 or so inches results in an instrument where the taper of the tubing has been altered. This is why these horns have funky intonation. If these cut down horns are so great, why have so many come up for sale in the past few years? If a horn is excellent as a BBb, leave it alone.
