Grade Level System vs. Canadian System

Hi, I'm a Canadian who lives near Toronto and I'm having trouble figuring out the rating system for solos... up here we usually go by the Royal Conservatory (sp?) of Music, which rates most music between Grade I and Grade X, where a Grade X level piece might be Alec Wilder's Sonata #1 for Tuba and Piano. On American websites I see mostly grade 4, 5, and 6... is there anyone out there familiar with both system who can clarify the differences and equivilencies between the systems? For example, what level would the Haddad Suite be in both systems? Or the Vaughan Williams Concerto?
Thanks,

Ted
