Rick chooses to overlook the incredible irony in Steve's standpoint: that Berlioz was a master, but that he (Steve) should be allowed to carve his initials into Hector's tender underbelly with whatever tool he chooses. He's not even up to speed as to the original instrumentation, yet he's willing to wager "what Hector *really* wanted. Amazing. And in light of Berlioz' own comments about people choosing to "improve" his works, the inconsistency is apparent.
