Make use of that experience!

Right now, the best tuba might be a piston C. Only because it's similar to what you've been playing (bore size and pistons).

In the long run, you're going to have to get used to a new keyed tuba from what you've recently played. Go for the best sounding BBb in my opinion (sounds like a Miraphone 191 so far). Then with consistent practice it WILL be your horn. You've got a small F so don't worry too much about getting a small "big horn/contrabass"

You've already made the decision to get a small F and a BBb tuba. Why change now?
