One thing that worked for me while adjusting to CC fingerings was to play the same arpeggio patterns I have always used for warmups, but just to use the proper CC fingerings. I start with Bb scales and chords even though I'm on CC. This allows my brain and ear to adjust to the change in sound vs. fingerings. So, when first trying out CC horns, try starting with Bb instead of the usual open tone scales and arpeggios.
