Just a little story about a friendship developed through this BBS.

I just got back to Seattle from a week in Columbia, MO working in the repair shop of Brook Mays Music. I good experience and a lot of wrecked school tubas and euphs were returned to the schools in good enough shape - ready to be abused again.

Since I was flying out of the Kansas City Airport, I decided to contact fellow BBS poster Bruce Hamilton who lives in KC. Bruce bought a Besson 983 from me a month ago and I thought I'd drop in and play some duets. Bruce handed me his 186 Mirafone and we played for an hour or so. We then went to the Smokehouse, a great BBQ joint near his house. Afterwards, we went back and played for another hour or so. While there, I fell in love with his 186 and bought it. It was great to meet someone who I'd conversed with through the net (Much like all you guys I met at the DC Tuba/Euph Conference).

If you are ever in KC, look Bruce up. I'm sure he'd be happy to pull out the duet books.
