I've heard different opinions on placing the tounge between the teeth for articulation. I know its pretty much a given to go between the teeth in the extreme low range, but what about in the mid-range (bottom of staff, a little below staff). I'm just wondering what this would. I know Jay Friedmen and Dale Clavenger have mentioned tounging between the teeth for certain types of articulation. I believe when a "pointed" marcato is desired. Just wondering what this could do for a tuba player. Good idea, bad idea?
