One might criticise me for that or not, but I have a tendency to see the options for beautiful music in the small forms, that many musicians would discard as not worthwhile.

The link below will take you to the download of the wonderful trio for 2 horns and 3 unisono oboes from Bach's Brandenburg Concerto #1.My version has been taken down a fifth, so that 2 euphs can play the lead duo parts. The oboe line actually is much harder and can be played by a euph mastering an extreme level of lightness and elegance in the high range. Or it can be given to bass clarinets or bassoons.

Compatible Bb treble clef and concert bass clef versions are both contained in the download. Only one page scores, no parts.

This little gem never will exceed being an in-between or an encore. Yet it still is a gem in my ears.

The download is for free. Only you have to identify yourself to be eligible for the download. No strings attached, when it comes to economy and performance fees.
